Sequoia Safety Council (SSC) is a private
non-profit EOA provider of 9-1-1 emergency
medical services serving the southeastern
portion of Fresno County.
SSC operates from 3 stations serving 650
square miles that include 3 incorporated cities,
many unincorporated communities, farm land,
foothills, National Parks and high Sierra
Nevada's.
Annual call volume exceeds 4200.
SSC has a standardized fleet of 5
"Excellance" company manufactured ambulances
mounted on Freightliner chassis, with power
assisted gurneys, and Life Pac 12 monitors.
The SSC is currently expanding its paramedic
staffing and is seeking to hire 1 additional
full-time paramedic.
The Central Valley region enjoys a lower cost
of living in relation to other areas of the
State and is conveniently located near the
center of California. We are within 3 hour
driving range of the California Coast, Los
Angeles and the Bay Area. A portion of our
service area includes the Sequoia/Kings National
Parks.

Qualifications required prior to start of
employment:
California State licensed paramedic
Obtain local accreditation
Posses a valid California Ambulance Drivers
License
Current ACLS certification
Current CPR certification
PALS certification is preferred
High School graduate or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age
Driving record in compliance with SSC policy
regarding insurability
Effective oral, written and interpersonal
communications
Salary
Annual salary range $46,000 to $56,000 DOE
