Our greatest asset is our employees. At Sequoia Safety Council we provide the best possible Emergency Medical Care to all of our customers with talented and professional employees.
Sequoia Safety Council has over 30 employees including office staff, administration, Emergency Medical Technicians, Paramedics and clinical instructors. Job classifications include full-time, part-time, and paid per call staff.
The Council has a long history of having dedicated employees, and very little attrition. Many of the full-time Paramedics started as paid per call EMT’s and later were sponsored by the Council through Paramedic school.
Our full-time employees work a 60 hour work week, either 24 or 12 hour shifts. An excellent benefit package is provided for all full time employees which includes 100% coverage for the employee’s medical, dental, and vision insurance. In addition 50% of dependent insurance coverage is paid.
Sequoia Safety Council prides itself as having the highest of quality employees that set an example for the industry.
Due to the growth of the area, SSC is always looking for dedicated people that are already EMT’s or for individuals wanting to go through an EMT class to fill paid per call positions. CPR instructor candidates are also encouraged to apply.

Board of Directors
The Sequoia Safety Council is governed by a 13 member Board of Directors. Each area of the Sequoia Safety Council is represented by a member of the Board. There are six members from the Reedley area, three from Parlier area, three from the Orange Cove area, and one member from the mountain communities.
The Board sets and approves policy and gives direction to the General Manager. The Board of Directors hold bi-monthly meetings, with the annual meeting held each January.
